Since 2000 I work for L'Oréal research and since 2005 I am the leader of two scientific laboratories (Nanophysics and Electron microscopy).

At present I am in charge of the scientificmanagement of a strong research program on the Microscopic and Nanoscopic properties of hair, skin, and on the designing and discovery of innovative materials to improve their cosmetic properties. I am also holding or sharing Leadership of multidisciplinary projects to discover new cosmetic actives, and understanding their impact on skin and hair.

I am a chemist with a PhD on Polymer's Physical Chemistry. My current expertise is on Bio-Tribology (adhesion and friction), ultra structure of cosmetic substrates (hair , skin), and mechanical properties of proprietary polymers and cosmetic products. Scientific expert on the application of Nanotechnology and Surface Science priciples for the discovery of new actives.

In the past I have experience both in academia and industry. Three years (1993-1996) at the University of California Santa Barbara with Prof Israelachvili working ond Surface Science and lubrication of polymers. Experience teaching chemistry in Spain ( i.e. Lecturer at the Saint Louis American University, Madrid Campus)

In Industry I also worked for the Spanish Oil Company REPSOL as a researcher (1990-1993).
